3 Weeks of TikTok Ads in Spain at €50/day: Numbers and Lessons Learned

Setup

The campaign setup was structured around direct conversions. We used geo-targeting in Spain, focusing on the 18–35 age range. Targeting included interests related to lifestyle and fashion. The €50/day budget was split across three ad groups, allowing us to test different creatives and audiences simultaneously. The campaign ran for three weeks, with daily monitoring.

Creatives

The creatives were made in a vertical format, prioritizing short videos up to 15 seconds long. We used user-generated content and product demo videos. The approach was light and fun, in line with the platform’s style. We tested five ad variations: two with influencers, two with customer testimonials, and one with a limited-time offer. Creative performance varied, but the influencer videos performed slightly better.

CPA by week

The results showed a CPA (Cost per Acquisition) that varied over the three weeks:

Mistake

One of the main mistakes was not taking ad frequency into account. After the second week, we noticed engagement starting to drop, which indicated that the audience was saturated. On top of that, we didn’t do a deeper analysis of ad delivery times, which could have improved results even further. Not making targeting adjustments also contributed to the CPA increase in the final week.

Next step

For the next campaign, the strategy will be to focus on more refined targeting and diversify ad delivery times. We’ll also use FreeSpy to analyze which creatives are performing best in the fashion space and adjust our approach based on that. We also plan to test a higher budget with a lookalike audience, using what we’ve learned so far to scale the campaigns.
