About FreeSpy
FreeSpy is a free ad intelligence tool for people who buy traffic: dropshippers, cash-on-delivery (COD) operations, affiliates, media buyers, and agencies. It shows which ads on Meta, TikTok, and YouTube are scaling before everyone else sees them.
The name FreeSpy
In digital marketing, “spy tool” is the term the industry uses for tools that analyze competitors’ published ads. That’s exactly what FreeSpy is, and nothing more: the “spy” in our name refers to public ads, never people.
- It is not a phone monitoring app. We have no connection to apps that use similar names to spy on devices.
- It doesn’t install anything on anyone’s phone or computer. FreeSpy is a website.
- It doesn’t read anyone’s messages, calls, location, photos, or accounts, and it doesn’t offer any features for doing so.
- It only works with public data: ads that Meta, TikTok, and Google publish in their transparency libraries, which are open to anyone.
If you came here looking for a way to monitor someone’s phone, FreeSpy doesn’t do that. If you saw the name FreeSpy associated with this kind of app, or with any charge that wasn’t made on freespy.io, let us know.
Where the data comes from
Every day, we mine the public Meta Ads Library in several European countries, Brazil, and Latin America, as well as TikTok’s and Google’s (YouTube’s) transparency libraries. Each ad is grouped by product, store, and advertiser. From there, we calculate how many days it has been running, how many copies of the same creative are running, and whether it’s gaining momentum or slowing down.
FreeSpy metrics
- Days running: how many days have passed since the ad started running, based on the start date published in the library. Ads that lose money are usually turned off within a few days; ads that stay up for weeks tend to be getting results. More about days running.
- Copies: how many times the same creative appears to be running at the same time across different ad sets or pages. Duplicating is the most common way to scale an ad that works. More about copies.
- 0–100 score: a percentile score that combines a page’s active ads (about one-third of the score), longevity (22%), creatives (18%), refreshes in the last 90 days (16%), stores (9%), and markets (3%). A score of 90 is ahead of about 90% of advertisers on that criterion. How to read the score.
- Champion, evergreen, and tester: each advertiser’s profile. A Champion has 15 or more ads, nearly all similar, with an average of 45 or more days running. An Evergreen has at least 8 ads with an average of 90 or more days running. A Tester has 15 or more ads that vary widely and die quickly (an average of up to 20 days). The rules for each profile.

How the platform pays for itself
Ad mining is free, and you don’t need a credit card to create an account. The Pro plan is optional and offers higher limits. The platform is supported by commissions from the marketplace, which offers protected payments, and by partners who advertise here. Paid partners are identified as partners.
