Google Ads Contingency: “Circumventing systems” is unlike anything you know from Meta
Lucas Ferraz · 2026-10-07
On Meta, you lose one account. On Google, if you get flagged for “Circumventing systems” (circumvention), you lose ALL linked accounts and future ones — by identity, card, domain, device. The rule of the game is not to get there.
What triggers circumvention
- Creating a new account after one was suspended, using anything in common: card, recovery email, phone, domain, IP, device, Merchant, GA4.
- Detected cloaking (a different page shown to Google’s bot).
- Several identical sites across different accounts.
- Repeated review requests with “cosmetic changes.”
Preventive structure
- Your own MCC (manager account) for each operation; subaccounts by product/country. Getting one subaccount banned doesn’t take down the MCC if it’s a product policy issue; everything gets taken down if it’s circumvention.
- Identity per account: new email (not a freshly created Gmail — use your own domain), dedicated phone, dedicated card, dedicated browser/profile.
- Advertiser verification: do it BEFORE you need it (legal name + document). Verified accounts get banned less and recover more often.
- One domain per account. Page with complete policies (see the Merchant post).
First weeks
- 7 days of a “clean” campaign (brand, 10–20 €/day) before any aggressive page.
- Increase the budget 20–30% every 3 days. Jumping from 50 to 500 on day 2 = manual review.
If you get suspended
- Read the exact reason in the policy center. “Unacceptable business practices” and “Misrepresentation” are recoverable; “Circumventing systems” almost never is.
- Actually fix the issue; document (screenshots) what changed.
- ONE appeal, formal, in English or the account’s language, listing each item one by one. No drama.
- If denied: don’t create a new account with anything in common. New operation = completely new identity (company, card, domain, device, IP). Real cost of a clean Google identity: 300–800 USD. Compare that with what you spend per day and decide if it’s worth it.
Purchased accounts
An old account with a spend history reduces the risk of an initial review, but it doesn’t protect you from the page content. Use it to get started faster, not to bypass policy.
