BigSpy alternative: what to use if you only advertise on Meta or want to pay less

Short answer: if you pay for BigSpy just to see Facebook and Instagram ads, the Meta Ad Library and FreeSpy's Free plan cover that at no cost. If you need TikTok, YouTube and Google Ads in one dashboard, BigSpy is still one of the most complete options. It comes down to where you buy traffic.

The information below comes from each tool's official pages, checked in October 2026 and re-checked on 1 November 2026. FreeSpy is our product, so we also show where BigSpy does better.

How much does BigSpy cost today?

According to BigSpy's pricing page, checked on 1 November 2026, the monthly plans are:

  • Starter: $69 a month, 1 seat, Facebook and Instagram, unlimited searches and 50 creative downloads a day.
  • Growth: $159 a month, 1 seat. Adds X (Twitter), TikTok, Pangle, Google Ads and YouTube, 300 downloads a day, page and domain analysis, and TikTok Shop features.
  • Scale: $399 a month, 5 seats (1 owner and 4 members), with Growth features per seat.
  • Ultimate: $499 a month, 1 seat. Adds Pinterest, Yahoo and Unity Ads and raises the limits.

On annual billing the same page shows $49, $119, $299 and $399 a month, and the subscription renews automatically.

Since our October check, the page started listing a Free plan: $0, Facebook creatives only, 10 searches a day, 3 "creative to AI prompt" uses a day, 5 video analyses a month and 20 tracked creatives. Creative downloads are out — the page says downloads and advanced research require a paid plan. So you can look around BigSpy without paying, but you can't run on 10 searches a day with no downloads.

Why look for a BigSpy alternative?

  1. You only advertise on Meta. Starter covers Facebook and Instagram, which is exactly what the Meta Ad Library shows for free.
  2. The jump between plans. To get TikTok, the price goes from $69 to $159 a month.
  3. You want scaling signals, not just search. Unlimited searches help, but you're still the one deciding what's scaling.

BigSpy alternatives, one by one

Meta Ad Library

Free and official. According to Meta's Help Center, checked in October 2026, the Library contains every active ad running across Meta technologies and anyone can search it. To start with a method, see how to use the Meta Ad Library.

FreeSpy

FreeSpy mines the Meta Ad Library every day in European countries, Brazil and Latin America, also reads the TikTok and Google (YouTube) ad libraries, and groups ads by product, store and advertiser. Instead of just searching, you get the reading done for you: days live, copies of the same creative, the 0–100 index and the advertiser profile. The Free plan costs $0. Pro costs $39 a month or $390 a year and includes bulk creative downloads, CSV export, an unlimited monitor with new-creative alerts, and the full history of every ad. Team, with up to 10 users, costs $89 a month or $890 a year. See pricing.

PiPiADS

If TikTok is the reason you're staying on BigSpy, PiPiADS is the more focused alternative. Its official site presents it as a TikTok and Facebook tool, with Basic at $49 a month and a free trial with 500 credits, according to the plans section checked in October 2026.

AdSpy

For affiliates with a budget. According to AdSpy's official site, checked on 1 November 2026, it covers Facebook and Instagram for $149 a month, with search inside comments and filters by affiliate network and offer ID.

Minea

For people who want AI-powered product research. According to Minea's pricing page, checked on 1 November 2026, Starter costs $49 a month and includes Meta ads and influencer placements. Comparison in Minea alternative.

BigSpy or FreeSpy: what does each do better?

BigSpy is better at:

  • network coverage: TikTok, YouTube, Google Ads, X, Pinterest and others, depending on the plan;
  • TikTok Shop features from Growth up;
  • team seats on Scale.

FreeSpy is better at:

  • cost: basic use is free, and Pro costs $39 a month versus $69 for BigSpy Starter;
  • a ready-made read on scaling on Meta, with a ranking in Top Scaled and advertiser profiles (Champion, Evergreen and Tester);
  • cash-on-delivery operations, with a COD filter in Explore.

Both take cards. FreeSpy bills Pro in dollars, as a card subscription (or Apple Pay and Google Pay) that renews automatically and that you can cancel whenever you want. BigSpy accepts credit cards and Alipay, according to the FAQ on its pricing page.

How to choose

  • Meta only, tight budget: the Meta Ad Library plus FreeSpy Free. Move up to Pro when you need an unlimited monitor or exports.
  • Meta and TikTok: BigSpy Growth or PiPiADS. Compare the monthly cost with the volume you actually search.
  • Large team and several networks: BigSpy Scale or Ultimate.
  • Still unsure: the comparison of the best spy tools of 2026 puts all eight side by side.
