30-day product test diary: what I did each day and what I’d change

João Victor Ramos · 2026-10-07

Week 1

The first week focused on creating and setting up the campaign.

  1. Product selection: I went with a high-demand product in the health and wellness niche.
  2. Ad creation: I developed 3 ad variations with different creatives and copy, using FreeSpy for inspiration.
  3. Targeting: I targeted the audience based on specific interests and demographic data.
  4. Initial budget: I set a daily budget of R$100, testing the campaigns during peak hours.

Results: The click-through rate (CTR) came in at 2,5%, but conversions were low, with just 1 sale.

Week 2

In the second week, I made adjustments based on the data I collected.

  1. Ad optimization: I turned off the lowest-performing variation and created a new creative.
  2. A/B testing: I ran A/B tests with different calls to action (CTA).
  3. Targeting review: I expanded targeting to include lookalike audiences.
  4. Metrics analysis: I tracked metrics like CPC and ROAS, adjusting the budget to R$150/day.

Results: CTR increased to 3,5%, and conversions went up to 5 sales, but the cost per acquisition (CAC) was still high.

Week 3

The third week was dedicated to scaling and building out a product lineup.

  1. Scaling: I increased the budget to R$300/day and created dynamic ads to reach more users.
  2. Product lineup: I added complementary products to the campaign to increase average order value.
  3. Remarketing: I launched remarketing campaigns to reach users who engaged but didn’t convert.
  4. Critical analysis: I used FreeSpy to analyze competitors and adjust my strategies.

Results: Sales increased to 12, with an improvement in CAC, but it was still below the ideal level for profitability.

Week 4

The final week focused on consolidating what I’d learned and preparing a final report.

  1. Performance analysis: I evaluated all the campaigns, identifying which ads and targeting brought the best results.
  2. Customer feedback: I collected customer feedback to understand the shopping experience.
  3. Final adjustments: I adjusted the ads based on feedback and performance metrics, aiming to improve conversions.
  4. Future planning: I put together a plan to keep the campaign running and scale sales.

Results: Sales totaled 20, with average CAC down 30%. CTR was at 4%, a good sign for the future.
